The Rural Community Council of Essex are advertising two workshops around online space and how it impacts on children and young people and older people, These sessions have available dates in January and February 2026.
One is aimed at helping parents to better understand what is meant by mis and disinformation, recognise hate online and ways to talk to children about what they are seeing online.
The other workshop is concerned with older adults and how to help them to learn about the common tricks used in misleading posts, viral rumours and emotionally charged content as well as how scams, fraud, and misinformation often overlap – and of course how to keep themselves safe.
